Lucky or Sucky?

Speaking of states of being, I'm probably one of the unluckiest people I know. Not only is it stuff like tripping and falling in front of someone important, or poking my mom's fingers into a ceiling fan, but the weirdest unforeseen things happen to me. Consider this-- I haven't worked on a Saturday for weeks, probably not since before Christmas. So I've been spending my Saturdays skiing, mostly, and enjoying it quite immensely. For a while now my dad has been trying to talk my older sister into meeting us up at the mountain, since she lives on the other side of it. She finally agreed, and she and a group of her friends are coming up to the mountain for the day next Saturday. But then the silliest thing happened. I realized that I am working next Saturday, all afternoon. Incredible that the first time I noticed I was excited about having more hours. So I've decided to be unhappy. At least I'll be getting paid to miss out on hanging with my sister.
