Decisions, Happiness, and everything in between.
This is the result of many nights laying in bed contemplating happiness and why it is and why it isn't. I've come to a conclusion on the being of happiness, though goodness knows it probably won't be the last one. Happiness comes from contentment. Contentment comes from choosing to be so. Therefore, happiness is a choice. You might disagree, but honestly, think about it. You got fewer Christmas presents than your friends, so you're unhappy. Why? Because you choose to be discontent. Someone dies--you're obviously unhappy, and the choice to be discontent is logical. People usually choose to be discontent when they're lacking something. Wanting what you don't have is usually selfishness. I suppose my reasoning may be flawed there, but these are just my observations. You choose to be discontent with what you have, or where you are, or who you are, and you become unhappy. I guess I should put a qualifier statement. You have no control of your emotions or how you feel. But happiness is more than an emotion-- it's a way of life.
